A brick cottage on a village green in England

A desk that prefers honest maths

cubidexa is a small editorial studio at 78 Tagwell Road. We research how people in the UK earn extra income, and we write it down without a funnel. We are not a course. We are not an app that wants your bank login.

Why we exist

Most side-hustle writing is either American, optimistic, or selling the next thing. British tax is specific. School terms are specific. A market town on a wet Tuesday is specific. We started cubidexa to put those constraints on the page so you can decide with a clear head.

We live with the same HMRC calendar as everyone else. When a figure on this site is a 2026/27 rate, we say so. When a range is typical rather than guaranteed, we say that too.

How we work

Research starts with GOV.UK, HMRC manuals, and what platforms actually pay after fees. We talk to people who already do the work — tutors, sellers, drivers, gardeners — and we throw out ideas that only work as screenshots. If a number changes mid-year, we update the tax guide rather than leaving a pretty stale table online.

You can write to us. We answer editorial questions about the guides. We do not complete your tax return, and we do not take a cut of your extra income.
